Children's Sewing Class

2 Hours

Prerequisites

Children have to be between the ages of 7 and 14 and will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No previous sewing experience necessary.

Overview

If your child would like to learn to sew by using a sewing machine, then look no further. Being able to master the basics will build your child's confidence, impove their hand-eye coordination, and provide a creative outlet amongst numerous other benefits. You never know, you might be raising the next Coco Chanel, Stella McCartney or Alexander McQueen! Lessons are on a one to one basis and tailored to the child's individual needs. During the initial class, your child will

  • Learn how to thread the machine.
  • Learn about thread tension.
  • Learn about different stitches and their uses.
  • Learn basic maintenance.
  • Learn about the sewing machine accessories.
  • Learn how to sew straight lines and curves.
Further individual lessons can be arranged so that your child can work on their chosen projects.

The class will be lead by a fully qualified teacher and an active enhanced DBS.

There are no set dates, so please contact us to arrange a suitable time.
