Children's Sewing Class
PrerequisitesChildren have to be between the ages of 7 and 14 and will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No previous sewing experience necessary.
OverviewIf your child would like to learn to sew by using a sewing machine, then look no further. Being able to master the basics will build your child's confidence, impove their hand-eye coordination, and provide a creative outlet amongst numerous other benefits. You never know, you might be raising the next Coco Chanel, Stella McCartney or Alexander McQueen! Lessons are on a one to one basis and tailored to the child's individual needs. During the initial class, your child will
- Learn how to thread the machine.
- Learn about thread tension.
- Learn about different stitches and their uses.
- Learn basic maintenance.
- Learn about the sewing machine accessories.
- Learn how to sew straight lines and curves.
The class will be lead by a fully qualified teacher and an active enhanced DBS.
