Made on Anglesey is creating pdf patterns for everyone to enjoy. Each size is individually drafted rather than computer graded so that each size remains true to body proportions. This involves a lot more work as we are producing a wide range of sizes to suit all. The instructions contain photos of all the sewing steps so that the garment construction can be followed by beginners or advanced sewers. As a tester you obviously get a free copy of the final pattern in all its sizes (does not include seller's license and must not be shared). You also might have a picture of your finished work featured in the pdf pattern itself.
What is required of a tester?
  1. You need to tell us about any issues you have with the pattern or any typing errors you may find.
  2. If the fit seems off we need to know what you are having an issue with.
  3. We need bust and finished length measurements of your finished garment.
  4. We need to know how much fabric you had to use to make this project as well as the length of bias tape/binding (if indicated).
  5. Did the sizing seem correct?
  6. Were the instructions easy to follow?
  7. We also would like you to provide a picture or pictures of your finished garment.
We will need you to complete at least one garment and report back to us within 2 weeks. How do you get to be a tester for Made on Anglesey? First be sure you can do what is required of a tester. Next keep an eye on the Made on Anglesey website ( so even if you don't get picked to test this time you will still know when we are calling for testers next time. Next send us an e mail at with the answers to the following questions. Please be sure to put "Pattern Tester Call" and the garment size you'd like to test in the subject line.
  1. What is your sewing experience? (Years/months sewing, experience working with patterns)
  2. What is you skill level? (Beginner, intermediate, advanced)
  3. What size can you test?
  4. Do you plan to blog about it or share it via social media?
Please be as honest as possible. Being a beginner doesn't mean you will be disqualified from testing. We would like to have feedback from all different skill levels. We will make the necessary adjustments following your feedback, then release the pattern for sale. If you aren't selected to test don't worry as we are working on lots more that will need testing!
